Have had a message that bidder from Italy could not bid on my item - he asked me to unblock him - went into my account and there was no restriction on Europe - My item has now ended with no bids and he wants to buy my item - can I send him a second chance bid? or what can I do? or how can I check that he can now bid? I have had bidders from Italy before and have had no bother.
Hi, am finding it impossible to find the best way to send abroad. All the postal services say that compensation can only be claimed if the item goes missing in the UK so what would happen if it went missing in another country? I've been advised to use internationally signed for but what is the point of that if I can only claim for it going missing in this country? I'm thinking of just turning customers down; I don't really want to do this but I don't know what to do. Any help would be great thanks
Hi I wander if anyone could help me. I'm looking to purchase some wholesale lots of toys (Ben 10 watches etc from Malasia / China etc). They are all business sellers, however how can I be sure that they arnt counterfit goods. Many seem to have really good feedback while on one feedback I noticed someone had left negative feedback suggesting that the goods were fake. If the price is too good to be true is this a good indication that it probably is. Thanks for all your help.
Hi I have just sold an item to someone in the Netherlands so I have got to pay the extra postage. Does anyone know how I can just sell in the UK where do i state this when putting my item on ebay. Thank you
How do I charge a different amount of P&P if the winning bidder of one of my items (which seems to be appealing to lots of people in Germany !) is from abroad ? Do I simply invoice them ? I have already told them what I would charge and lifted the restriction so they could bid. Also I was wondering if e-bay automatically restricted new sellers to UK bidders if new to e-bay ? I have only recently started and sold 20 items but I often get questions from european bidders. Thank you. Katy
hello all, could someone please clarify the rules about selling perfumes to germany and france. its a bit confusing, ebay told me it is ok to sell to germany and france when i telephoned, but there are so many listings that say "due to german law, this item is not available to germany". please someone help me clarify this. thanks in advance to anyone who answers...
hi i need some help please. i have signed into ebay using www.ebay.co.uk and when i sign in my page automaticaly takes me to ebay uk as shown at the top left of the page but when i go down to the prices of items it all shows up in dollars. i need help to find out how to change it all into pounds. at the bottom of my page it is set onto united kingdom so i have no idea what has happened. does anyone know how i can resolve this problem i have or will i have to cancell my account and re-open another 1. i'm very new and inexperienced to selling on ebay. i listed some items last week and in the P&P area just put my standard rate of £3.00 for UK (although i didn't put this in the text of the item's description. i have received messages asking if i post to latvia, vienna, portugal, france, germany - i replied yes with same postage. i am now getting emails from the same sellers asking me to lift restrictions as they are unable to bid? i'm very confused and worried - items are ending soon and if they are unable to bid will they give me bad feedback? if they have bid, can the sale go through if winning bidders? and how do i lift restrictions - is this safe?
The shipping fees displayed in my Ebay\ watch are wrong, they only show the shipping cost in the sellers country. For example, I'm watching an item from Germany, shipping is displayed as 4Euro but this is the shipping quote to Germany, the real shipping cost for my country is 10 Euro. Two days ago everything was ok but now I have to open each auction individually to check shipping costs for my country. I always watch items for eBay.com, .uk .fr .de .at and so on. What went wrong?
My item had UK postage only. Someone from Spain asked if I would post to Spain and I replied that I only post within UK. Then the winning bid came from France. Do I have to send it to France? It seems unfair to the person from Spain. I've sent couple of emails to person in France but no reply yet. I didn't know you could block other countries from bidding. Thanks to whoever answers. MY
Hi. I've seen something I would liek to buy on the ebay.de site. Will I haev to pay any import taxes or anything if I buy something from Germany? Also, I know bank transfers are more popular there than Paypal, but does the seller have to accept Paypal if they have it listed as a payment method? Do Paypal charge you to receive money from another country?
I recently got an email from a US buyer telling me they can't bid on my items because of the way my account is set up. I was very confused since I know I haven't put up any blocks.! I'm still very confused! Everything I've sold so far has been in the UK, and one item in Italy. why aren't US buyers able to bid on my items? can anyone help me please?
