Buyer not happy! (4 replies) Report )
03:52 GMT
Hi all, I have sold a cardigan, the buyer has said that she thought is was heavyweight knitwear when it is lightweight so she wants to return it. I think the pictures show what type it was, she never asked any questions. I have told her it is not faulty, so no returns. She is now threating to go through PayPal as "item not described", How do I stand? will they go her way? if they do, can I appeal? and if she has to send it back, who pays the postage? Thanks

Would like some advice regarding a buyer requesting refund. (2 replies) Report )
01:23 GMT
I sold 2 New Bears which had been donated to me as I am fund raising. They were new, one of them was still tagged, the other untagged, but definately new. I packed them up myself and know them to be in new condition. The buyer said she wanted a refund and would not return the bears due to postal cost. I put them on the Auction Site and only got 99p for them anyway. She said that they stank of cigarette smoke. I do not smoke and have as most non smokers a sensitive nose for cigarette smells. As my Son lives just 5 minutes walk from her, I responded to her message immediately and offered to have the items collected and a full refund made to her. I offered this as I am just getting started fund raising on eBay and do not want negative feedback, if I can avoid it. She replied to my offer the following day (yesterday) and said that she had given the bears away as she did not want them herself.
Where do I stand. I am sure there was nothing wrong with the items to begin with, but felt it was better for me in the long run to just collect them and refund her money. But if she did not want to accept them, has she not done that by supposedly given them away.

Buyer wants me to send item outside UK to 3rd party against my wishes (5 replies) Report )
24-11-09
Hello
I sold an item in wich I stated clearly on the sales page that I could send anywhere in UK only. The wnning bidder then told me after the auction had ended that he was sending me extra money so that I could send the item directly to a 3rd party in Africa. I referred him to my sales page an said I do not send outside UK but offered to send it to him in the UK for forwarding on. The buyer then raised an Unposted Item Strike on me and I am now suspended from ebay!
What should I do?

Advice please for a Newbie to Selling (2 replies) Report )
24-11-09
Hi
I put items on for sale for the first time on Sunday. One is for a cooker that I put a starting price of £49.99 - 1 person has made a bid.

Another person emailed me on Sunday to ask what sort of price I was looking for and I said around £100. He has now emailed back this evening to say he will pay me £100 and wants to collect it tomorrow.

I don't think I can do this - so would be grateful for some advice please ASAP. Do I respond to say I will put on a buy it now price of £100 and he has to take his chance or what should I do?

Thanks very much
Marcia

Selling a Saddle (3 replies) Report )
24-11-09
I had a look on other listing for Leather Horse Saddles and decided to ask a low starting Price of £19.99, some Saddles were selling for upto £850. The Saddle I'm selling has a bit of age to it and only needs a small amount of stitching, (could the age or stiching requirement have put people off? because as far as I'm concerned £19.99 is as cheap as chips, as David Dickenson would say) The other thing is as it is a FlyOver by H.H.Barrett of Feckenham Worcs and this Company went into recievership some years ago, my questions are many and might all be the reason for non-sale. I just do not know. Any replies would be helpful.Derek J.

Second Chance Offer (1 replies) Report )
24-11-09
From a recent sale, Ebay gave me the opportunity to go for a "second chance offer". The buyer was a virgin with zero feedback or history, yet paid instantly via PayPal, so no probs...? Don't understand the second chance thing unless you have a non payer.....we all started on ebay with nothing, but we got along, well, most of us...??

buyer received damaged goods (1 replies) Report )
24-11-09
I recently sent an item completely sealed, good condition very well wrapped in its existing box, very sturdy and padded. But when the buyer rec'd it, claimed it was severely damaged and parts missing. Buyer is asking for full refund I have asked for photographic evidence of how it was received - nothing! Now a complaint has been placed on ebay. What should I do?

advertising an item (7 replies) Report )
24-11-09
-I have just won an item which when advertised was labelled as" ...hats*3 ".When bidding, there was no mention that this bid price was per item . I thought that I had a real bargain but when the payment form came through they were asking for three times the price. This was the first time that the bid price was suggested as per single item.Is the seller obliged to sell the three items at the price I bid ???

New Seller Query. (1 replies) Report )
24-11-09
I have just sold some cordless phones on ebay, They worked fine when we posted. Buyer has notified me of a fault on the item.
I have offered to accept a return but this doesn't seem to appeal to the buyer. What is the next step in a fair ethical ebay world?
