I had sold an item on 19th November and the money went into my paypal account. I received an email from the seller asking me to post this to he son in Nigeria and she paid extra for postage, I told her I would send this as soon as possible and apologised as I had been working. I sent this today 24th and on returning home checked my paypal account and the money has vanished. I am out of pocket for postage and do not have my item anymore. Hopefully this will be sorted for me soon.
Hi There.I've got myself into a right pickle.I put some things on ebay with a buy it now price but being new to ebay I didn't know that you had to put your starting bid near to your buy it now price so I left it at 99p and some bloke went on and bought 11 things for 99p each.Stupid of me but I honestley didn't know, I thought the buy it now price would have been what I got for the item so now I need to know what to do ,can I cancel the sale or will I have to take it on the chin even though it is going to cost me about £300.What a nightmare probably won't be using ebay again if I can't get this resolved. If you can help please respond to this question.Cheers and thanks for looking.What makes it worse is it's my girlfriends ebay account and she's not best pleased!
Hi there I'm about to finish selling my first item. Can anyone tell me what records I need to keep regarding the sales, and also if I should print out and send any paperwork when I send the item to the winning buyer.
When I buy things, it seems some sellers send (differing) bits of paperwork, and some send nothing.
I would like to do the correct thing, whatever that is!
im a (very) new and inexperienced seller and im having problems with putting a reserve price on my items.. im starting the bidding at 99p as ebay suggests (?) but want to put a reserve price on my items to at least cover what i paid for them but everytime i try to do this its saying i have to put a minimum reserve price of at least £50... can i put a lower reserve price?? PLEASE HELP??? :O(
Hello and could i ask advice from all you experienced members out there.Someone bid on an item of mine seeing off the other genuine bidders who have now gone else where.They have not paid and refuse to reply.My concern is that they have only been a member since the 17/11/09 and appear to have no feed-back-none of which i would have known until they won and in any event we all have to start somewhere.It appears that they are changing their user name.I have opened a case but i am not just concerned with myself but other members who may get stung.-bay have no options as such to report this buy other than what i have done.Do i have away of protecting others or do i just let this person re-offend and not pay me as i cannot make them?If you get a strike before you have had any feedback is that enough to get you barred?Thank you for reading this and for all your invaluable help regards
I sold item 170381551082 and in the title made a mistake saying it was size 12. However in the text I said the trousers were marked 14 and I thought they were really 12-14. I also gave exact measurements. Buyer wrote to say they were too big, I apologised & mentioned the additional details (which might have flagged up a query but never mind) asked what she wanted me to do. No reply, I wrote again to offer refund, no reply. Then I see the neutral feedback saying item was not as sized. This seems a little unfair as I tried to resolve it, and the item was mis-sized only in the title - not in the text. is it worth asking her to remove this? Thanks.
I want to sell a computer game and see that most other sellers give free postage, how do I do this? When I type in free in the postage box, it says that I have to put in a relevant postage amount.
I am a new seller and aomeone bidding on my item has asked to lift "the buyers exemptions", firstly is it safe to do this?, 2nd why are people on them?, and 3rd how do i lift them if it's safe to do this?
i sold a silver cross pram for pick up only now the buyer is saying that she may not be able to pick up and has asked me to send by courier which i said i didnt want to do she is now saying she may need to withdraw her bid can she do this and what do i do next any advice welcome thanks
I have been asked if I would accpet a Buy It Now price for an item I have for auction. There are no bids on it yet. Can you do this? And if so, how does it work?
Can anyone please advise me how to stop fraud buyers purchasing my item. I am a first time seller. I have listed the item and sold it 3 times. Unfortunately the buyer mails me to ask what condition it is in as they have to send it to a family member abroard. They are also noticable by joining the same day as the bid, which I understand can happen legitimatly, bud I am loosing money everytime they do this. The last listing I put a preference of no bidders lower than pos score of 5 but the buyer has zero. Any ideas how to list without this happening? Thank you and sorry such a long question.
I'm new to selling and have listed a few items that are uite rare (should have done better research!!). I'm presuming selling price cannot be changed once bidding has started but can you change price if no bids?
i have listed an item for sale - and i can see it in 'my ebay' as an active listing - but when i search for it as a buyer would it doesnt show up. any ideas why? thanks
