Hello - first time I've posted on here, I'd really appreciate any advice on this...
I bought a (used) Diane von Furstenberg silk wrap dress on eBay the other day for £52. I was quite wary about spending this much/what if it didn't fit/etc. but DVF wrap dresses are fairly adaptable & they seem to sell quite well so I thought I'd take a chance as I could always try to resell on here if there were any problems. When the dress arrived it had no label in it on the collar stating the designer/size/fabric composition, just a very small printed label in a side seam saying 'Jeanne' + a serial number. There are loose threads at the collar where the label has either fallen off or been removed. The dress is nice but there's absolutely no way I would've paid that much for a dress that I can't show is a genuine DVF if I want to give it as a gift/resell it at some point. It may well be absolutely genuine, but I've got no way of knowing & the missing label wasn't mentioned in the listing - in fact the seller actually says the size on the label is a US 4, but where she got this info I've no idea! I (politely!) emailed the seller to say I wasn't really happy about this & she seems very nice but all she offered is to try & find the receipt for the dress from 3 years ago. I don't really think this is good enough & would like a refund (but her page says 'no returns'). According to the info I've found so far on eBay an item falls into the 'not as described' category if "The item is missing major parts or features which were not disclosed in the listing." I'd say the maker's label falls into that category!? Any advice on how to proceed would be gratefully received...
I bid and won on as described and shown in picture as a gucci bag it showed serial number.....however i received a fake in the post...i am v angry and i know that this is a contract but it is not as discribed, is a fake and i want to take this further...
I recently bought some trousers titled "Boy's Brown Mini Boden cords". The seller had specified he wouldn't accept returns and since the photograph wasn't brilliant, I asked the seller to identify what a particular mark was I could just about make out and also more details ont eh condition (my question has been printed).
The cords arrived today and have a series of marks on the front and back - look like bright orange pencil lines. The seller tells me this is because they are "distressed cords". On reflection, they are quite uniform marks...but I absolutely hate them. Also you simply can't see them in the photo - if I had, I wouldn't have bought them.
Seller won't accept returns - would this count as not as described, since no mention of "distressed" or marks was made?
I have been an ebay buyer and seller since 2003 and have 890 feedbacks and 10% and i am trying to buy some GHDs for my daughter but the last 3 pairs i have bid on Ebay have removed my bids saying they seller is doing something illegal - but are they how when there are 500+ GHD for sale am i picking the illegal ones all the time - any thoughts
if i am sellings lots of different items such as perfume etc as single units and a customer wants to buy more than one item, how do i offer/show the postage such as 1 unit =1.50 5 units = 4.50 so they can click on the option if buying more than one and i can send the correct invoice if they request this?? thank you
i recently bought a beauty and the beast dvd for my little sister and its turned out to be a copy. I have left the seller good feedback without realising. what should i do?? should i email him about a refund. thanks
I saw an item on ebay which was on auction. I contacted seller and made an offer to obtain the item out of auction because I wanted it sooner. Seller accepted my offer and said I must make a bid on it for the agreed £11.50 which I did. Problem is the auctioned opened with an opening of £7.99, postage free. So my offer now stands at £11.50 and the seller has closed the auction so that I can get the item and the winning bid is now showing as £7.50 meaning I owe the seller £3.49. Seller has told me to put the £3.49 into his paypal account and I dont know how to do this. I have asked the Seller to add the £3.49 in as postage but dont know if he can do this either.
Bit stuck here. Am a good ebayer and havent had one negative comment about me - am always marked as a quick payer because I pay within minutes of winning auction.
Urgent advice required to save the situation please.
A week ago I bought an item on ebay and paid instantly with PayPal. It says it is the sellers first time selling and they are new to ebay altogether. The Paypal payment has still not been processed after a week and I have contacted them and they have not contacted back. I dont really know what to do, I bought it as a buy it now price so I could get it early and they dont seem to be even checking ebay or sorting their paypal account out. How long do I have to wait before withdrawing a payment, will it effect my feedback if I do and they eventually decide to process the sale down the line?
I have recently bought an item on ebay and need to get in contact with seller i have sent two e mails and had no replies. If they dont want to sell things they shoulnt put them up for sale. What can i do?????? to contact them???
